A woman named Gedi Begum (56) has died after falling from a moving van and being run over by the wheels of a jute-laden trolley in Naldanga, Natore. The accident took place on Sunday (25 October) at around 12:30pm under the railway bridge next to Sonapatil post office in the upazila.
Police from Naldanga station have detained the trolley driver, Kaysar (37), over the incident. The deceased Gedi Begum was a resident of Panna Nagar area in Durgapur upazila of Rajshahi and the wife of Bani Israil of that area.
