Bus owner Enayet Sheikh killed under his own bus in Kashiani, Gopalganj

A bus owner named Enayet Sheikh (60) has been killed after being run over by his own bus in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj. His home is in the Ghonapara area of Kashiani upazila.

The accident happened at around 7:30pm on Sunday (October 25) in the Majhigati bus stand area of Kashiani.

Local sources said a GMS Paribahan bus owned by Enayet Sheikh, coming from Khulna, braked after reaching the Majhigati bus stand, when a Narail Express bus hit it from behind.

Enayet Sheikh, who was standing near the door at the time, was thrown onto the road and seriously injured after being run over by his own bus.

Local people rescued him and took him to Gopalganj Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Sergeant Nripen Das of Bhatiapara Highway police station confirmed the matter and said legal proceedings over the incident are under way.
