Jagannath University opens applications for professional MSc in environment and disaster management, deadline December 9
Jagannath University's Department of Geography and Environment has invited applications for its professional MSc programme in Environment and Disaster Management. Admissions are open for the Spring 2027 session of the programme, known as MEDM, for candidates interested in higher studies in environment and disaster management.
The one-year course carries a total of 39 credits. Designed with working professionals in mind, its classes will be held only on weekly holidays, so that students can continue their studies alongside their jobs.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.25. Only candidates who meet this requirement will be able to take part in the admission process.
Interested candidates can apply until December 9, 2026. Applications may be submitted online, offline or by email — all three routes have been kept open.
The application fee has been set at Tk 1,530. The fee must be sent to the designated bKash or Nagad number, and the transaction reference number must be mentioned on the application form.
The admission test schedule has also been announced. The written test will be held at 9:30am on December 18, 2026, followed by the viva voce at 11:30am on the same day.
