The DMP has been conducting such regular drives to keep the law and order situation in the capital under control. The daily arrest numbers from these drives also give a picture of the city's crime situation.
This single-day drive, with more than five hundred arrests, indicates an active police presence in the capital. However, those concerned also speak of the need to focus on sustainable crime-prevention measures alongside the drives.
